A little bit about me....

Hi, I'm Kristen, a late diagnosed AuDHDer and proud Mum to two amazing neurodivergent children.

I am truly passionate about neurodiversity and providing accessible support for the neurodivergent community.  As an Autism and ADHD Coach & Mentor, I offer support to clients of all ages (children, young people and adults), as well as to parents of neurodivergent children and young people.  I know, from personal experience (as an individual and a parent), how lonely it can be navigating a diagnosis and also how limited support is. This is why I created Neurostars; a place for others on a similar journey to make sense of their life and get support from someone who 'gets it'.

I bring a wealth of professional and personal experience to my practice, as well as an adaptable and neuro-affirming approach, allowing you to feel supported and validated.

For the first time ever in my life, I feel proud of who I am.  I finally have the self-belief and confidence to be me.  I would love to have the opportunity to connect with you and to help you feel the same; by being a positive role model and encouraging you to find ways to feel comfortable being your true self.

Together, we will shine .

Why work with me?

I am a certified ADHD coach (trained by ADHD Works 2024)

I chose to train as a coach with ADHD Works as neurodiversity coaching is very different to traditional coaching.  It requires the ability to coach through an 'neurodiversity' lens.  This course focused on use of specialist coaching skills and knowledge,  and ways to give more guidance and create an extra level of accountability, which neurodivergent people often require.

I am a qualified teacher

I have taught in primary schools for the past 20 years.  With that comes a wealth of training and experience of working with children with SEND.

Lived experience

I bring lived experience to my practice, as a late diagnosed AuDHDer and mother of two neurodivergent children, ensuring that it is neuro-affirming (a quality that I struggled to find in a coach/therapist for myself and my daughters.)

Learning

I am regularly learning by doing relevant courses and research to ensure that I remain current in my understanding.

Safeguarding

I have up to date safeguarding training to ensure that I have the knowledge and skills needed to keep children safe. I also hold an Enhanced DBS.

Mental Health First Aider

As a mental health first aider, I will provide a listening ear, identify warning signs and connect clients with the relevant support.

I undergo regular supervision

Supervision is a process of professional learning and development.  It ensures that I am giving the best kind of support to my clients and that I am operating in the most ethical and professional way.

Thank you for listening to my story,

I look forward to hearing yours.
